FVG President Fedriga has launched the Volunteers campaign. Already 40 countries have confirmed their participation in the event.

The president of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Massimiliano Fedriga, has officially launched the recruitment campaign for the 600 volunteers who will take part in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival – Eyof FVG 2023. The festival will feature a large number of athletes from 48 nations (40 are already confirmed) who will compete in 13 disciplines (alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle, ski cross, ice hockey, short track, ski jumping, ski mountaineering, snowboarding and Nordic combined) with 100 competitions over 8 days of competition.

From the 21st to the 28th of January, the entire region with its 11 ski centres will be involved, as well as some neighbouring resorts in Austria and Slovenia.
Eyof is dedicated to young people and aims to make them the main actors of this great event, bringing enthusiasm, energy, motivation, knowledge and skills. Volunteers will give 6 hours of their time every day during the 8 days. Hours in which they will make new friends and have new experiences, as well as learn and interact with other young people from all over Europe.

In addition to the public recruitment campaign, students will also join through collaborations and memoranda of understanding signed by the organising committee with regional high schools and universities.” There are several areas where participation is required, from communications to opening and closing ceremonies, from the information booth to accreditation activities, from logistics to the press room and sports delegation support.

The “Volunteers” promotion will also take place via social media with the hashtag #beyof2023.
