Cultural Side Events
In order to promote and spread the ethical and moral values of sport and to encourage young students to lead a sportier, more active and healthier life, the Organising Committee of the EYOF 2023, in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Labour, Training, Education, Research, University and Family and the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research) launched, parallel to the EYOF 2023, a series of cultural initiatives aimed at schoolchildren in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

MEETINGS WITH STUDENTS
A number of meetings are organised for the secondary school students, especially those close to the areas where the main competitive events are organised.
The purpose of the 1 hour and 15-minute meetings organised according to the programme below is to involve school children in the other cultural initiatives surrounding the event and to encourage them to actively participate in the EYOF sporting events

SPORT DRAWING COMPETITION “Snow and Ice Sports”
The Organising Committee of the EYOF FVG 2023, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and the Ministry of Education of Friuli Venezia Giulia, organises as a cultural accompanying initiative the games that will take place from 21 to 28 JANUARY 2023 “Snow and ice sports” drawing competition in the region all elementary school students in the region can participate.
All drawings will be exhibited at the entrance of the Udine Fairground (Martignacco, Halls 5 and 6) from 21 to 27 January 2023, from 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
From Saturday 21 to Wednesday 25 January 2023 (3.30 pm) anyone can vote for their favourite design by depositing a ballot in the ballot box.
On Wednesday, January 25th, the commission, composed of a representative of the EYOF, the Cultural Council of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, a regional MIUR board and an artist from the region, Gianni Borta from Udine, will compiling merit rankings, and on Friday, January 27th, at approximately 9:00 pm during the break in the men’s ice hockey tournament finals, the students and their teachers in the top three classified draws will be awarded prizes.
